Thinking Hat

Apparently, it's important to wear your thinking hat to bed.  Last night I went to check on Landon, before going to bed myself, this is how he fell asleep.

Easter

We spent a good Easter weekend with G and G Moser.  They stayed at our house Friday and Saturday night.  The kids enjoyed dying Easter eggs with them and of course just having them around.  We watch Tangled together while Sienna and Grandma Moser cuddled on the couch.
Easter morning Landon was up about his usual time of 7 am and searched for his basket right away.  He went through his goodies and then headed upstairs to find the hidden eggs.  After scoping out where all the eggs were he was told to wait to get them all until his sister woke up.  My child who loves to sleep, slept until about 8:20 when I finally had to go and wake her up.  She was a little tired when I showed her where her Easter basket was.  Once she saw the goods, she really perked up and was excited.  After going through everything we headed out for church.  After church the kids and I headed over to Auntie Mo’s and Brandon’s house to enjoy a wonderful Easter meal.  We had ham, corn on the cob, biscuits and cheesecake.  After dinner the kids and I headed home for a nap and then got to spend time with daddy.

Not too sure about that Easter Bunny
Going through the Easter goods...he was really more excited than he appears in this picture

More Easter goods, notice the flip flops with socks on.

The Egg Hunt

Friday I had off and after enjoying a great run outside the kids and I headed up to Yunker Farm for an egg hunt.  They had a blast filling their bags with eggs, getting their faces painted and making art projects.

Landon Quotes

Landon - “Mom, I know everything about everything.”
Mom – “oh, you do, huh?”  “Ok, what does beef come from?”
Landon – “umm….camel.”
(Insert me laughing)
Mom – “umm, no it comes from a cow.”  “Where do Easter eggs come from?”
Landon – “turkeys!”

Landon – “Do you know my friends who have calories sometimes get really sick?”
(at this point I’m think ok…calories?)
Landon – “Yeah, these sneeze and don’t feel good.”
Ahh, got it he meant allergies!

Catching up…

It seems as though time has escaped me lately and I am not able to update the blog.  We have been busy with all sorts of things lately.  Let’s see…we have fought the flu, fevers and ear infections again.  Sienna was hit the hardest, poor girl.  One week she work up throwing up and then ended up with a high fever the next day.  It appeared she kicked whatever it was and then boom was hit with a high fever on and off for several days.  During that time Landon ended up with an ear infection.  In one week I was home with Sienna for two days, and caught a little bit of what she had, and then ended up at the doctor with Landon.  We have saw too much sickness in our house, thankfully its minor things like ear infections, pink eye and fevers, but I am so done with it.

We have enjoyed a few, very few, nice days here and there and have gotten outside to enjoy the weather.  I have added pictures where you can see the kids having fun playing in the water.  Sienna loves, loves, loves to swing and play on the swing set.  As for Landon, well, he loves to ride his motorcycle or bike and play with our neighbor kids.  We have lots of kids all around us, so we will be spending many days outside playing.
